Happy Halloween

It's Halloween and I have missed my son's first time dressing up. I have just finished pulling orders and shipping for the last 12 hours. So those of you that have been calling and asking why aren't we shipping faster, take note.

Now that I got that off my chest....

Tomorrow starts the Holiday Season in my book. You should start thinking about holiday specials. We have already seen a spike in drop ships over the past two weeks. Those of you with websites, here are some ideas.

Start a gift section.

Pick some items that would make good gifts (of course that could be anything) and put them in their own section, make it search-able by price.

Offer an early shipping program.

Get customers to buy now by offering free shipping before Thanksgiving. I know Amazon was successful with this in their early years. Make them purchase an amount that makes it worth the shipping.

Spruce up your site.

Remind your customers the holidays are coming. Remember, some people don't think about shopping until the last day. They may be on your site looking for themselves and realize every guy in their family would like that fishing pole or knife.

That's just a few things that come to mind. I'll look around and report back on other ideas people are using out there.
