Ben,
What do your warehouse and order processing personnel use to determine whether a certain product is legal for sale in a particular state? For instance, I have had a couple of customers who have attempted to purchase gun magazines with a capacity that exceeds California state law (I believe that this limit is 10 rounds, maximum capacity). When I placed the order at valor (not knowing that the 10 round law existed), my order was canceled and kicked back to me with an explanation indicating that the item(s) could not be shipped to CA.
I am happy that the order was stopped from leaving the warehouse, but I am curious as to who caught the order, how was it flagged, and are all of your products safeguarded in a way that they will be less likely to be shipped to jurisdictions which do not allow their sale? If so, can you provide insight as to how this is accomplished? Is there a master list somewhere, or do your folks just have knowledge of the industry that they leverage to catch purchases that may exceed the law?
Thanks for your time,
Rick
